I’ve seen this one at both Leah’s Books and Beyond the Read, and decided it would be a fun way to preview my next post. Can you guess what I’m reviewing next?
The Lost in Translation Tag was created by Eryn @ Love Your Shelf.
Da Rulez:
- Pick the last book you read.
- Put that book in Google Translate and translate it into 3 different languages, then back to English. (Please put which languages you used to translate them!)
- See how close (or how far) it is to the original book title.
- Lastly, put the original book title at the bottom and talk about your last read!
Obviously, I’m not doing #4 until my next post. Also, this was so much fun I decided to do it three times — triple the Google Translate hilarity!
Share your best guesses in the comments!

This is so much fun! I love it! My guesses: 1. some sort of mythology xD 2. Readers Digest 3. Driving Sirens xDDD
LOL! I’d love to read a book about driving sirens! Well, there is a chase scene in one of the Toby books involving a mermaid racing down a steep San Francisco street in a wheelchair (she doesn’t feel like wearing her legs atm). 🙃
Oh, that’s so cruel that you aren’t going to share what the titles are in this post! I’m going to be wondering what they are, because I have absolutely no idea what they could possibly be 😂
Oh man, this is amazing. I have no clue. Can’t wait to find out the real titles. 😀
Mwahaha, I can’t wait to reveal it! (All three are translations of one title 😅)
[…] My alternate titles from the previous post make total sense now, right? Some of the characters in these fictional texts are legendary — […]
I’m so confuuuuuuuused!!! I have no idea if this was multiple books or not or if it we saw the original title or not and now I just don’t know if I missed something or not.
Wait, reading the comments. So it was one title and we did not get to see the original. OK. Phew!
BWahahaha! I love to mess with people’s minds like that! 😈
[…] because I had so much fun with it last time, I’m going to give y’all another Google Translate preview of my potential upcoming posts (see […]
