Greetings from the Midwestern tundra, Bookwyrms! How is everyone holding up? Has the cabin fever fully sunk its claws into your sanity or are you still fighting the inevitable mid-February meltdown? ๐ Jk, jk, I actually spent a nice, hygge-ful morning sipping coffee and watching the snowfall, and I wish you all the same mood!
Anyhoo, I started a new(ish) project over the weekend — hence the new tab in my blog’s header. I used to have a small CafePress shop with lots of weird and artsy designs that proclaimed my love of all things mermaid, coffee, millennial pop culture, and more mermaids. It didn’t exactly go viral, but I had fun creating the designs.
Cut to six years later as I’m jealously following all these awesome influencers with their side hustles and their marketable hobbies and thinking, “You know what? Why don’t I dust off a few of my old designs and see how it goes?”
And so! There are only two designs so far, but if you’re the kind of person who likes to wear their folklore and random millennial pop culture nerdiness with pride…or at least contemplate it while inhaling those sweet, sweet Arabica fumes…check out NeriSiren’s Coffee Grotto! (literal coffee-related designs are forthcoming…the one I made six years ago isn’t quite up to my current standards).

I welcome feedback on my designs and on the user-friendliness of the shop…just don’t be too harsh or I’ll send my Billy Goats after you ๐
Now, go have some Girl Scout cookies and contemplate the deep spiritual symbolism of a groundhog’s shadow. Or whatever brings you bliss.

Congratulations on kicking off the hustle! ๐ I hope it goes swimmingly. ๐ Looking forward to seeing more of your designs…
Thank you! I hope so, too! ๐งโโ๏ธ
Love the way you put it…yes, cabin fever has fully sunk its claws into my sanity.
I like the mermaids design. I’d like to see it bigger, if that were possible.
Sending sanity de-clawing vibes! And thank you! If you go to the Merch! tab, you can see a larger image of both designs โ just tap on them and they should open up to their own pages.
Alternatively, if you go to nerisiren.deviantart.com, the Limonade Brault homage is near the top of my gallery.
Great post! I love your designs so far and I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!! โฅ
I agree with Jeanne. I don’t know if it’s something you can change, but being able to see the more detailed artwork bigger would be more user-friendly.
ALSO! Just checked out the Merch Tab and I LOVE that you explain your artwork (and that we can see it bigger!! โฅ) Ignore my comment about having the picture bigger. If you stop by your Merch page first and then go to the shop page, everything is all cleared up.
LOVE IT!
Thank you so much! I will look into the shop settings to see if thereโs a way to let visitors who havenโt come from my blog see larger versions of each design. I totally appreciate the feedback! ๐
That’s very exciting! I can’t wait to see what new designs you come up with as well! It’s always fun seeing artists at work ๐
Thank you! ๐
