Inspired by Sarah Gailey’s Upright Women Wanted (reviewed here), I decided to infuse my birthday this year with some CowGrrl Power. About a month ago, while doing research for a story, I discovered the Cowgirl Chocolates site and ordered myself a package of Dark Chocolates with Lavender, Dark Chocolates with Huckleberry, and a bar of Spicy Mint Truffle.

Rating: Five big and bright stars! The lavender bar definitely feels like I’m eating perfume, and the spicy mint one has a delightful blend of refreshing mint with a slight rattlesnake bite. The huckleberry bar is more subtle, with the dark chocolate shining much brighter than the berries, but it’s totally Oklahoma-OK!
Recommended if you like: unusual flavor combinations, eating essential oils, supporting small businesses.

In other news, the Golden Gate Bridge is apparently singing. Anyone else wondering if the Bay Area mermaids are sending us a message of hope (considering the song isn’t accompanied by a standing wave)?
Last time I was in Colorado I bought some huckleberry-flavored taffy home for my family. We all liked it, but I liked it the best!
Sounds fan-taff-tic! 😋
I love lavender lotion and soaps and stuff, but I can’t imagine that I’d like eating it. I’m glad you like it!
LOL! It is a bit of an odd experience, but I like to think it’s like getting an aromatherapy treatment on the inside. 😄
Hahahahahahaha!
That chocolate sounds delicious.
Hope you had an awesome birthday! Now you have me craving chocolate, lol. I’d probably go for the min flavored one, but I’m not sure I’d want the spice with it. Hmm… Still sounds awesome though. That singing bridge was pretty cool, btw!
Thank you! 🥳 The spice definitely bites back.
