Credit to Hyperbole and a Half for inspiring the “[Verb] ALL the [Nouns] meme.

. . . by which I mean that, as of the publishing of this post*, I’m not letting myself buy or borrow any new books until I’ve read all** the books I’ve purchased over the years but haven’t gotten around to reading yet. Also known as Cleaning Out the Bookshelves/Kindle folders (assuming I’ll want to sell/give away any of the books once I’ve finished them) Insane Pretentious Bahahahaha, good one! Ambitious? Perhaps. But “shoot for the moon” and all that, right?
To make this official, I’m creating a Goodreads shelf for this project.
We’ll see how long this lasts…

* There may still be one or two upcoming posts re: books I’d bought/borrowed before starting this challenge.

I am right there with you…constantly in search of that ultimate new novel…reading book reviews, reading books about writing….that helps somewhat…I like the “Goodreads’ touch…might try that.
Goodreads is pretty fun. My favorite thing is that I can more easily discuss a book’s ending or other major plot points without having to write “SPOILER! SPOILER! Someday I will have no unread books. But I can’t commit to just them….so it will take a while sigh sigh. Good luck to you!
It is the reader’s lifelong curse/blessing — the endless TBR list 🙂 I guess I’m kind of lucky in that my Owned but Not Read list isn’t too long, but still…
[…] for this year’s list. Hopefully I’ll pull out of this slump soon (and finally finish that darn challenge — there are new books I really want to read, but my path is blocked by the 30-odd books […]
[…] Challenge! This is a very easy-going challenge with no deadline, and (unlike my fatal attempt to Finish ALL the Books) it will NOT block my way to new books. I’m just going to make a more pointed effort to […]
