This year, Postcards from La-La Land will be participating in a reading challenge hosted by the writers of The Insatiable Booksluts blog (I realize the blog’s title may be off-putting for some, but I love the eclectic book choices, and the random sense of humor — especially in their Death Match posts) —

It’s a challenge to read as many pages of prose as possible before the world ends.  Or, if the world keeps turning after December 21st, then before 11:59 p.m. December 31st, 2012.

My total page tallies will be kept at my livejournal blog, where I will review books not specifically targeted to Juv/YA.

This is exactly the push I need to finally stop neglecting the shameful number of un-read books from my home shelves — books that fell prey to my equally shameful attention span, or to the forces of I Decided To Read Another Book First and Forgot About This One.
